Sizing - a tricky thing!

Sizing on children's clothes has a tricky habit of varying almost as much as the personalities of your little ones. This does mean it can make life a little challenging when trying to decide which size to choose!

At Animal Tails we decided to opt for a more generous sizing than you might expect to get with other labels, particularly some continental brands.

Our boys T-shirts are designed to be a loose traditional cut, but our girls T-shirts are meant to fit more snugly. So as a rule of thumb if you child is more petite for their age it might be better to size down. Below is a sizing chart to help guide you.

Buying a gift

If you are buying an Animal Tails T-shirt as a gift, we do recommend asking from the parents what size to go for! If this isn't possible and you need some advice, please don't hesitate to contact us at info@animaltails.co.uk and we shall endeavour to assist. However, even if after this the gift still isn't a perfect fit don't worry we will be happy to exchange it for a different size.

Washing Guide

We recommend Ecover for washing your beautiful Animal Tails T-shirt in, and preferably at a low heat (environmentalist recommend 30 degrees centigrade).  However, after extremely messy fun has been had, then they can be washed in water up to 40 degree centigrade.

Tumble Drying

We don't recommend tumble drying your Animal Tails T-shirts.  Apart from the environmental point of view (tumble driers tend to be rather excessive on energy consumption), but also the heat can cause shrinkage and fading, and potentially damage the beautiful screen print, and in the longer-term may shorten the lifespan of the T-shirt. 

Ironing

Always iron your T-shirt inside out to protect the screen print.

International orders

We are afraid we cannot take orders from overseas at the moment (with the exception of BFPO addresses).  We are hoping to change this very soon, so please do register with us (click here to register) and we will let you know as soon as we are able to service international orders.

Once your order has been despatched, the completion of the contract between Animal Tails Limited and yourself takes place. We cannot fulfil any obligations due to the following reasons:

• The product you ordered being unavailable from stock
• Our inability to obtain authorisation for your payment
• The identification of a pricing or product description error
• Customers who fail to reach any order criteria set out in the Terms & Conditions

If there are any problems with your order, you will be contacted by one of our Customer Services Representatives either by email or by phone.

We reserve the right to reject any offer of purchase by you at any time. We will take all reasonable care, in so far as it is in our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure but, in the absence of negligence on our part, we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from the Website.

All prices are inclusive of VAT (where applicable) at the current rates and are correct at the time of entering the information onto the system. The total cost of your order is the price of the products ordered plus delivery. You confirm that the credit or debit card that is being used is yours. All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to or does not, for any reason, authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.

We reserve the right to withdraw any products from this Website at any time and/or remove or edit any materials or content on this Website. We may refuse to process a transaction for any reason or refuse service to anyone at any time at our sole discretion. We will not be liable to you or any third party by reason of our withdrawing any product from this Website whether or not that product has been sold;

To be eligible to purchase products on this Website and lawfully enter into and form contracts on this Website under English law you must:

• Stipulate a delivery address in the United Kingdom. Please note that PO box numbers, hotels and accommodation addresses are not acceptable

If your order has already been despatched please follow the procedure set out in our Returns & Exchanges Policy (need a link back to Returns & Exchanges).

If you cancel your order and we do not receive the item back from you, we may arrange to collect the item from you at your cost.

Each product purchased is sold subject to its Product Description. We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on the Website are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. Although the colour reproduction on the website is an extremely close representation, a slight variation in the actual goods can occur.  We make every effort to aim to keep the Website as up to date as possible, however, the information, including Product Descriptions, appearing on this Website at a particular time may not always reflect the position at the exact moment you place an order.

Sale Item Disclaimer

We have very limited stock of our sale items, and we will not be taking back orders on any of these items. Due to the fact our stock levels are updated once every 24 hours a product may sell out during time you have placed your order and when we try to fulfil it. If this does happen we will contact you within 3 working days with an alternative item or refund your money.
